Meet
Carolyn Midboe, LCSW-S

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping clients reconnect with their strengths and cultivate meaningful change. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when we feel safe, supported, and understood.

Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I show up authentically — with empathy, humor when appropriate, and a deep respect for your lived experience.

Why I Do This Work

I became a therapist because I deeply believe people deserve safe, compassionate spaces where they can be fully themselves — messy, hopeful, hurting, and growing — without fear of judgment. Watching clients rediscover their inner light, reclaim their strengths, and gradually step into their power is the most meaningful and humbling part of my work.

In addition to my professional training, I bring lived experience to this work. I am neurodivergent myself, living with ADHD and PTSD. That means I understand — both clinically and personally — how nervous system regulation, executive functioning challenges, and chronic stress can shape daily life.

You don’t have to explain everything from the beginning here. I “get it” in a way that blends empathy with clinical skill.

You already carry light within you — therapy simply helps it shine more clearly.
